Job summary

Herman N Logistics in Minnesota seeks local CDL-A drivers for intermodal routes within 200 miles of St. Paul. Local daily home time, mostly no-touch freight, and a mix of drop-and-hook and live freight.

Trucks are mostly automatics; company-owned with avg age ~2.5 years. Hazmat endorsement optional with reimbursement on proof of payment. Earn about $80,000 annually plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with additional pay for stops, detention, and qualifying activities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Able to work weekends.
• No SAP drivers.
• DOT Medical card.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight in intermodal containers and chassis.
• Approximately 50% drop-and-hook and 50% live freight.
• Majority of freight is no-touch.
• Mostly automatic-transmission day-cab trucks.
• Slip-seating may be required; tractors parked at the company office.

Pay

• Average annual earnings: $80,000
• Sign-on bonus: $5,000 for a limited time
• Mileage pay: $0.48–$0.53 per mile
• Drop-and-hook pay: $32–$35 per stop
• Live load/unload pay: $55 per stop
• Detention pay: $20–$25 per hour
• Additional pay for qualifying activities, including hazmat loads, refrigerated freight, and other specialized work

Schedule and Home Time

• Home daily
• Local and regional routes within approximately 200 miles of St. Paul
• Paid online orientation
• Holiday pay available after 90 days of service for six major holidays
