Job summary

The Driving Desk seeks Class A CDL drivers for a dedicated local/semi-local dry van position based in Mesa, AZ. You will operate preloaded dry van trailers on round-trip routes across the Phoenix metro area, with home nightly and weekends off, and a mix of hourly, mileage, and stop pay.

Starting pay is $15.25/hour with 0.42 CPM and $10 stop pay, increasing after 6 months to $15.50/hour, 0.43 CPM, and $10 stop pay, then up to $16.00/hour, 0.45 CPM after 2 years.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• New CDL graduates and experienced drivers welcome to apply
• Must live within 50 miles of Mesa, AZ
• Must be available for early morning start times when assigned
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, and company hiring requirements

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer
• Haul dedicated dry van freight on local and semi-local routes
• Pick up preloaded trailers
• Complete live unload deliveries at scheduled appointment times
• Operate round-trip routes returning to the terminal
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain DOT compliance and electronic logs
