Local Class-A CDL Driver (Home Every Night) ($25-$28/hr)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Class A CDL driver to join our delivery team. This full-time role reports to the Operations Manager and involves local deliveries within the Midwest and Southeast regions. The shift is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Check trucks before driving and secure cargo for transport.
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Maintain accurate log books per DOT and company standards.
• Operate tractor trailers to deliver materials to businesses.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Obtain delivery receipts or signatures from customers and collect payments.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of recent driving experience in a commercial motor vehicle.
• Class A CDL with authorization to drive manual trucks.
• Good criminal history and motor vehicle records.
• Satisfactory PSP and DOT Clearinghouse reports.
• Acceptable pre-hire DOT drug screening.
• Ability to obtain a new medical card.
• Ability to routinely back a tractor trailer into tight spaces.
• Ability to use forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Compliance with all company policies and DOT standards.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
