Job summary

Carpenter Co. is currently seeking a Class A CDL Driver - Local/Hourly to join our Lakeland, FL manufacturing location. The successful candidate will be expected to safely and efficiently deliver finished products to customers at various locations.

As an Hourly CDL Driver, you are expected to communicate daily with multiple levels of Company personnel and external customers, comply with DOT regulations, and assist with loading and unloading while lifting up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL driver's license required.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and understand instructions from Dispatcher, Traffic Manager, and external customers.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all customers.
• Transport and deliver materials per customer requirements.
• Deliver products to customers on schedule.
• Adhere to all State and Federal DOT rules and regulations.
• Assist in loading and unloading.
• Report conditions affecting operations to management.
