Cameron Ashley Building Products Inc. seeks a reliable Class A CDL driver to join our Delivery Service team for local routes around our Cedar Rapids distribution center.

You will operate flatbeds and curtain-side trailers, delivering products safely and on time while maintaining professional customer interactions. Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements.
• Meets DOT qualification standards including drug screen and Med Card.
• No major violations in past 3 years on driving record.
• Minimum 3 years of similar driving experience within last 5 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Willing and able to work safely at all times.
• Drives semi-truck and other non-cdl trucks per laws.
• Delivers loads safely and timely on required routes.
• Manages loading/unloading with appropriate equipment.
• Maintains shipping paperwork and submits to shipping office.
• Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensures loaded materials match documents and are in good condition.
• Secures cargo to prevent damage in transit.
• Ensure weight distribution for DOT compliance.
• Updates electronic logs and trip reports as required.
• Communicate delivery issues to branch and customers politely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
