Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Driver to operate a tractor trailer, choosing flatbed or dump trailer, and transport metals to our processing facility. This role works outside in varying weather and requires adherence to safety standards.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, secure cargo, maintain logs, and communicate issues with management. Local runs with home nightly, 1st shift, overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL with experience in heavy haul, roll-off or end-dump trailers a plus.
• 3+ years of commercial driving experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass DOT physical and FMCSR background check; Clearinghouse registered.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre and post trip inspections of tractors and trailers per DOT regulations.
• Transport and deliver materials from suppliers to SA Recycling facilities as directed by dispatch.
• Secure cargo using chains, straps, binders, or tarps.
• Communicate safety or equipment issues to management.
• Operate vehicles safely on staging areas, parking surfaces, and roads.
• Maintain logs of driving hours and vehicle service status.
