Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company seeks a route-delivery driver to handle product deliveries across assigned routes, inspect equipment, and assemble orders for timely customer service.

You will adhere to DOT regulations and safety policies while maintaining precise records and communicating operations issues to the Transportation Supervisor. A CDL and DOT certification are required, and a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Must know and adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid State Class A CDL license required in state of residence
• Ability to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines
• Active reading of maps and geographic directions
• Read and understand customer invoices and documents

Responsibilities

• Perform product deliveries along assigned routes to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies and request service as needed.
• Assemble orders for timely delivery and ensure accurate delivery windows.
• Follow BEK transportation policies and procedures for safety and compliance.
• Maintain records including vehicle logs and billing statements.
• Review customer invoices to determine items to be moved and delivered.
• Report mechanical problems or delays to base location as needed.
• Complete administrative tasks and related paperwork for transportation operations.
