Job summary

Schimberg Co. is seeking a local CDL driver in Cedar Rapids for daytime hours and a home-nightly schedule. You will serve as a brand ambassador delivering to customers within a 150-mile radius and operate a range of vehicles to support piping supply deliveries.

Requirements include a Class A CDL with air-brake endorsement, a clean driving record, and a current DOT medical certificate. The role includes safety inspections, light maintenance, and warehouse support, with excellent pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Class A CDL with an air-brake endorsement.
• Clean driving history with no at-fault accidents or more than three traffic violations in 5 years.
• Able to regularly lift 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs occasionally), climb ladders and be on your feet.
• Current DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one) is required for CDL drivers.
• Experience in trucking preferred; forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of commercial vehicles including pickup trucks, straight trucks and flatbed semis.
• Deliver piping supplies to customer sites with multi-stop efficiency.
• Maintain an accurate CDL log of deliveries and locations using ELD when required.
• Perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections and report vehicle needs to management.
• Load and unload trailers and assist customers with material handling.
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as pulling orders and stock management.
