Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in last 3 years.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/management.
• Basic English reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and move freight safely using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc.
• Record shipment counts and conditions to minimize cargo claims.
• Deliver to multiple customers with high levels of customer service.
• Maintain information on electronic devices and paperwork (bills of lading, delivery receipts, trailer manifests, etc.).
• Make decisions to maximize efficiency while meeting customer expectations.
• Meet reliability standards and be able to chain as needed; work in inclement weather.
• Travel to nearby terminals as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
