State Steel Supply Co. is seeking a CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver to operate a tractor and flatbed trailer on regional routes out of Omaha, NE. You’ll be home every night and every weekend, balancing a strong paycheck with the comfort of sleeping in your own bed.

Join a team that values safety, accountability, and teamwork while loading and securing steel cargos, including oversized loads, with emphasis on proper chaining, tarping, and DOT compliance.

Formación

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Current DOT medical card required.
• Excellent driving record required.
• Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Experience securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads.
• Ability to chain, tarp, and secure heavy loads in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• High level of accountability and integrity.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate a tractor and flatbed on regional routes delivering steel, including oversized loads.
• Chain, strap, and tarp loads correctly and efficiently.
• Check in with supervisor daily for assignments.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep equipment in sound condition.
• Keep accurate logs, DVIRs, PODs, and fuel receipts.
• Maintain communication with supervisor, sales team, and customers.
• Report incidents or safety concerns immediately.

What You'll Do

• Safely run a tractor and flatbed trailer on regional routes, delivering steel, including oversized and unusual loads
• Chain, strap, and tarp every load, and do it right the first time
• Check in and out with your supervisor each day for assignments
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep your equipment in top shape
• Keep accurate HOS logs, DVIRs, proof of delivery, and fuel receipts
• Stay in contact with your supervisor, our sales team, and customers
• Report any incidents or safety concerns right away

What You Bring

Required:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Current DOT medical card
• Excellent driving record
• Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
• Experience securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads
• The strength to chain, tarp, and secure heavy loads in any weather
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Accountability, integrity, and a safety-first mindset

Preferred:

• 2 or more years of driving experience
• 1 or more years of flatbed experience
