State Steel Supply Co. in Omaha, NE is seeking a CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver to haul steel on regional routes, including oversized loads.

You’ll be home nightly and all weekends, with a full-time schedule and the chance to earn a strong paycheck while sleeping in your own bed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card.
• Excellent driving record and a solid understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Experience securing different cargo types, including oversized loads; capable of chaining, tarping, and securing heavy loads.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude; accountability and safety mindset.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate a tractor and flatbed trailer on regional routes delivering steel (oversized loads).
• Chain, strap, and tarp loads correctly and on the first attempt.
• Check in with your supervisor daily for assignments.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep equipment in top shape.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs, DVIRs, proof of delivery, and fuel receipts.
• Stay in contact with supervisor, sales team, and customers.
• Report safety incidents or concerns promptly.

What You'll Do

• Safely run a tractor and flatbed trailer on regional routes, delivering steel, including oversized and unusual loads
• Chain, strap, and tarp every load, and do it right the first time
• Check in and out with your supervisor each day for assignments
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep your equipment in top shape

• Stay in contact with your supervisor, our sales team, and customers
• Report any incidents or safety concerns right away

What You Bring

Required:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Current DOT medical card
• Excellent driving record
• Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
• Experience securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads
• The strength to chain, tarp, and secure heavy loads in any weather
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Accountability, integrity, and a safety-first mindset

Preferred:

• 2 or more years of driving experience
• 1 or more years of flatbed experience
