Saia LTL Freight in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced driver to move freight between company terminals and customer sites. You will drive tractor trailers, plan routes, and ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements, have at least 1 year of verifiable driving, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI or license suspension for moving violations in 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in 6 months.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers to deliver and pick up freight.
• Sort, handle, load and unload freight at various locations.
• Plan routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Follow pre-trip, post-trip, and billing procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain records.
• Serve as first point of contact for delivery issues.
