Job summary

Saia LTL Freight is seeking a professional truck driver to transport freight between company terminals and customer sites. You will drive tractor trailers, perform loading/unloading, and ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries while following safety and paperwork procedures.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age with a valid license.
• CDL Class A with hazmat, tanker and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI or license suspensions in past 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in past 6 months.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.
• Sort, handle, load, and unload freight at company and customer locations.
• Plan routes and schedules for timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follow pre-trip, post-trip, and loading procedures and billing rules.
• Conduct inspections following safety and quality procedures.
• Retain and maintain load-related paperwork and records.
• Serve as the first point of contact for delivery-related issues.
