- Shift Details: Monday to Friday availability
- Weekend Hours: EOW
- Contract Duration: 9 weeks

Position Summary:
- Under the direction of the Center Nurse Executive/Infection Preventionist/Designee, the CNA delivers efficient and effective nursing care, achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.
- Functions within the standards of practice as per certification.
- Performs patient care activities and non-professional services for patient needs and comfort.
- May be responsible for specimen collection for POC testing, where permitted by scope and regulations.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provides patient care focusing on safety and comfort, including ADLs, vital signs, ambulation, positioning, and more.
- Assists with treatments, patient transfers, and transportation for appointments and rehab.
- Participates in care planning, performs skin treatments, and applies dressings under supervision.
- Feeds patients, records intake/output, and uses Point Click Care system if applicable.
- Maintains infection control practices, reports patient condition changes, and assists with discharge and orientation of new CNAs.
- Supports a culture of safety, collaborates with departments, and participates in quality activities.
- Maintains confidentiality and works beyond scheduled shifts if needed.
Educational/Vocational Requirements:
- Successful completion of a state-approved CNA program.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred; must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Verification of TST required; TSTs may be administered onsite.
- Basic computer knowledge or willingness to learn.
- Attend 12 hours of continuing education annually.
- Comply with legal, ethical, and organizational policies.
- Participate in orientation and training, and report concerns promptly.
Specimen Collector Responsibilities (States Permitting):
- Collect nasal specimens following procedures, maintain specimen integrity, and ensure proper labeling.
- Complete documentation and training requirements.
- Use PPE appropriately and report equipment issues.
Qualification Criteria:
- Experience as Lab Tech, enrolled in nursing school, or other specified qualifications.
- Fit tested and able to wear N95/KN95 respirator.
