  • Pay: Pay by Load: $67.43 per load in Georgia, $87.02 per load in Alabama
  • Hours: 50-60 hours per week. Home every day. Avg 1200-1500 miles per week
  • Days: Sunday through Thursday, starting between 3-4 pm
Job Description

This role involves transporting live chickens from farms to processing plants. Candidates must be able to read and write English, perform basic math, and conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers. The driver will operate an empty livehaul truck within a 75-mile radius of Camilla, GA, either dropping/hooking or waiting to be loaded, then transporting back to the plant. Responsibilities include unbinding and rebinding cages when loaded, following safety protocols, and communicating with the shop regarding vehicle repairs. Use of the PeopleNet ELOG system is required.

Job Requirements
  • Pass urine and hair follicle tests
  • Be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 1 year of Class A driving experience
  • Able to work in hot, dirty environments in all weather conditions
  • Have a clean driving record and meet Tyson and DOT standards
  • Able to work various hours, sit for extended periods, and lift/bend to secure loads and hook trailers
Additional Information
  • Bonuses: Safety bonus of $0.08 per mile per quarter (typically $800–$1,000 per quarter), and $2.00/hour shift premium
  • Training: Training to operate Moffett forklifts and Tyson safety and animal welfare courses
  • Trucks: Mack conventional with automatic transmission
  • Work hours may include early arrivals or late stays, and flexibility to work any shift is required.
