Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and follow loading crew signals.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service status according to regulations.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage.
• Load and unload trucks and secure loads for transport.
• Read maps and determine vehicle routes.
• Provide directions to laborers and assist with moving goods.
