Job summary

Bulk Environmental & Industrial is hiring a Local Driver in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time position involves moving loaded and empty trailers over short distances and returning home daily. Pay is hourly with DOT-compliant requirements and strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class A CDL and 2+ years tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA driver qualification requirements and have a valid medical certificate.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and participate in DOT random testing.
• Ability to back, maneuver and hook/unhook trailers in tight spaces.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and overtime.
• Must work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain safety and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and trailers to shuttle loaded and empty trailers between sites.
• Move loads on customer sites as directed by supervisors.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs.
• Record hours and hours of service using ELD/timekeeping system.
• Hook and unhook trailers and check connections.
• Ensure loads are secured and within weight limits.
• Coordinate with loaders and scale house staff to keep trailers moving.
• Complete trip sheets and related paperwork accurately.
• Follow site, transfer station and landfill rules including PPE.
• Report accidents or incidents per company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
