Job summary

GCC is seeking a Local Ready Mix Driver in Las Cruces, NM. The driver will operate a concrete mixer truck to deliver concrete to various job sites, maintain safety standards, and manage routine truck maintenance and wash-downs. A sign-on bonus is offered for qualified applicants.

Candidates must have a valid CDL Class A or B license, pass a DOT drug screen and physical, and meet DOT and company policy requirements. Strong customer service and English literacy are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B required.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screen and physical.
• Maintain clean driving record per regulations and company policy.
• Ability to handle cash and make change.
• Ability to interact with customers and coworkers professionally under stress.
• Must read, write and speak English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck with concrete mixer to deliver concrete to job sites.
• Ensure correct slump and arrival at site.
• Fill water tank as needed for deliveries.
• Attach chutes as required for discharge.
• Wash truck after shift; may use acidic cleaners if required.
• Call out start times at the beginning of each shift.
