Job summary

SPI in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver/ Warehouse to safely deliver and unload finished products to customer locations, and assist in warehouse operations. This role blends driving with hands-on inventory duties in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a valid driver''s license, at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (26 ft box truck), and the ability to read and follow directions in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required for vehicle operation.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (10,001-26,000 lbs vehicle) with a 26 ft box truck.
• Acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle Record.
• Flexibility to perform warehouse duties as signed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally. This will be a 26 ft box truck/moving van.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up 50 lbs during loading/unloading of trucks.
• Excellent customer service skills- our drivers are ambassadors of our company and build relationships with customers.
• Able to read, write and understand English; use navigation software.
• Shift schedule varies anywhere from 5:30 am to 7:00 am start.
• Assist in the warehouse 20% of the time.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.
