Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Logistics Specialist II, whether with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a maximum of 200 miles from their home branch, with all deliveries originating and ending at the branch, ensuring no overnight stays.

• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses
• Conduct job site inspections, document existing damages, and note the location of utilities and property features
• Capture photos of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Telescopic Boom - Fixed Cab Certification is a plus
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett preferred
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; prior accidents or violations will be reviewed
• Previous commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
