Job summary

TForce Freight, Inc. is seeking a Local Driver to safely operate a tractor and trailer, delivering freight to customers on time while representing the company professionally. This role is based locally in the Pittsburgh area and requires strong customer service and safety awareness.

You will be responsible for accurate pre-trip/post-trip checks, log maintenance, and adherence to all DOT regulations, with competitive hourly pay and benefits including pension, 401K and paid time off.

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements.
21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Ability to read, write and speak English; meet DOT and company requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to locations safely and efficiently.
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured before departure.
Provide excellent customer service with timely deliveries and handle inquiries.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
Adhere to local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Maintain logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions.
Communicate with the dispatch team regarding schedules, delays and issues.
