Job summary

TForce Freight is seeking a reliable Local Driver to operate a tractor-trailer and deliver freight within the local area. You will be the face of the company, providing a positive, professional attitude to customers and ensuring on-time deliveries.

Qualifications include a valid CDL A in the resident state with hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. This is a full-time on-site role with strong safety expectations and competitive wages.

Responsibilities

Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently.
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling inquiries.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report maintenance needs.
Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions.
Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and issues.
