Job summary

GeoSurfaces Southeast, a TenCate company, seeks a dependable CDL Driver in Mooresville, NC to safely transport equipment and materials to regional job sites in compliance with DOT and company procedures.

Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend work. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid CDL, and at least one year of CDL driving experience; air-brake endorsement preferred. Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Minimum of one year of CDL driving experience required.
• Two or more years of CDL driving experience preferred.
• Air-brake endorsement preferred.
• Experience transporting equipment and materials to construction or regional job sites preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle inspections and cargo-securement practices.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment and materials safely to and from regional job sites.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed.
• Follow proper loading protocols, including using chains and binders to secure cargo and rechecking load stability throughout each trip.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including inspections of brakes, steering, lights, mirrors, and other safety equipment.
• Inspect trailers before and after loading, including air lines and jack positions.
• Visit weigh stations as required to ensure loads comply with state safety regulations and make adjustments when necessary.
• Comply with all traffic regulations, Department of Transportation requirements, and company transportation policies.
• Exercise caution when operating vehicles in hazardous driving conditions.
• Report unsafe vehicle conditions, road conditions, and other safety concerns to supervisors.
• Use GPS and communication tools to remain informed of route conditions.
• Notify supervisors of delays, route changes, or other transportation issues.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
