Job summary

Sadoff-Iron-&-Metal-Compan in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking local CDL drivers. Be home every night with a Monday–Friday schedule for year-round work. You will transport materials to and from customers, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, securing loads, communicating with dispatch, and following FMCSA regulations. This role values reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of operation of hydraulic lugger, rolloff, and end dump trailers.
• Ability to train others in safe operation of our trucks & equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions and safety rules.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Works well independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Safe Operation: Safely operate a commercial truck following laws and company policies.
• Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Cargo Handling and Delivery: Load/unload cargo, secure it, and follow delivery schedules.
• Communication and Customer Service: Communicate with dispatchers and customers, resolve issues.
• Compliance and Regulation: Adhere to FMCSA/DOT regulations and safety requirements.
• Emergency Response and Reporting: Respond to incidents and report as required.
