Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport local finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns; report needs for maintenance.
• Plan routes and delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and mileage; retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Secure loads with chains and straps.
• Comply with truck driving laws and company policies.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.
• Read and understand bills of lading.
• Provide forklift and dock support.
