Job summary

RK Industries, LLC is seeking a CDL Driver to transport steel pipe, HVAC materials, and equipment to construction sites on primarily local routes. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical card, and 3+ years of experience with flatbed cargo securement. You will load, strap, tarp, and deliver safely while coordinating with dispatch.

Shifts run roughly 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with flexibility for early starts or overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card prior to hire.
• Minimum three years commercial driving experience.
• Flatbed driving with cargo securement and tarping.
• Experience with DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to pass driver-record and compliance reviews.
• Knowledge of loading, unloading, and basic shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with laws and company rules.
• Inspect and secure loads using tarps, chains, binders, and proper equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain hours-of-service logs and shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with dispatch on schedules, routes, and equipment issues.
• Keep vehicles clean and conduct basic preventive maintenance.
• Support dock, shop, and shipping teams when not driving.
• Record time, attend safety trainings, and assist teammates.
