Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics seeks a Local Driver for Denton, TX, delivering within a defined local area and returning home daily. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and professional customer communication.

Starting pay is $26.00 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential, plus potential increases after 90 days to reach $28.00/hour. Generous benefits include health coverage, 401(k) with match, and paid orientation.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required and candidates should have a verified driving record.
• Minimum two years of driving experience within the last four years, with three+ preferred.
• Minimum one year Medical Certificate and ICC qualifications as per federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off‑duty on runs of up to one week or more.
• P&D locally
• Backs trailers to customer dock.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe driving behavior.
• Communicates with customer representatives in a pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Coordinates with dispatchers and follows DOT requirements including drug/alcohol testing.
• Secures cargo and balances load in the vehicle.
• Ensures vehicle issues are corrected before driving.
