Job summary

Wind River Excavation is seeking a reliable CDL Driver to haul dirt, aggregate, and construction materials across the Wasatch Front. Local position with well‑maintained equipment, focusing on safe, efficient driving.

Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, performing DVIR inspections, securing loads, communicating with dispatch, and keeping accurate truck tickets. Requires CDL, 1–2 years driving, clean MVR, and ability to use basic dispatch apps.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL (preferred for side dump) or Class B CDL (for standard dump).
• Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience (dump truck or heavy haul experience is a plus; training may be available for the right Class A driver on side dumps).
• Solid medical card and a clean MVR.
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to work outdoor construction seasons.
• Ability to use basic smartphone apps for dispatching and logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dump trucks and side dump trailers safely to and from job sites, quarries, and dump zones.
• Perform standard pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
• Secure loads properly and ensure weight limits are within legal compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and job site supervisors.
• Maintain clean and accurate truck tickets.
