Job summary

Olsten Staffing is seeking a dependable CDL Driver for a local position in Walterboro, SC. The driver will transport materials and finished products, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate delivery documentation while providing professional service to customers.

The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule (6:00 AM–4:30 PM) with local routes, potential overtime, and a pay range of $25–$28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Clean or acceptable motor vehicle record
• Current DOT medical certification
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• Ability to complete required inspections and documentation accurately
• Ability to operate equipment like liftgates or forklifts when authorized
• Strong reliability, communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
• Pick up and deliver materials and finished products according to scheduled routes
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Verify loads, shipping documents, quantities, and delivery instructions
• Secure cargo properly and monitor load condition during transportation
• Maintain driver logs, mileage records and delivery documentation
• Communicate delays, mechanical issues, accidents, or delivery concerns promptly
• Obtain required signatures and submit completed proof-of-delivery documents
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of the assigned vehicle
• Report maintenance needs and safety concerns immediately
• Assist with loading and unloading when required
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers
• Follow all workplace safety, environmental, and quality procedures
