$25.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations, ensuring effective, incident-free service while maintaining excellent customer rapport.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a lift mechanism to load and unload containers safely, following all safety rules.
• Perform and log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift.
• Accept additional deliveries as needed to meet business demands.
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers.
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer questions or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs on containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab, inside and outside.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Typically report to Management, such as the Market Manager or Territory Manager.
• This role is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees.

Pay Range: $25.00/hour

QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction.
• Must maintain a valid driver license and meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
• Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement).
• Possess or be able to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT requirement).
• Experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to attend a 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
