Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Class B Heavy Touch CDL Truck Driver for local home daily routes. Pay is $27.00 per hour with 50 hours per week and a Monday–Friday schedule. Training and the company’s safety culture support career growth.

Ryder offers medical, dental, vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1 (up to 80 hours first year), uniforms, boot allowance, and a 401(k) with company match after one year. TWIC card is preferred but not required and reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification from last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have Class A or Class B endorsements for the position
• 9 months experience in past 3 years or 2 years in last 5 or 5 years in last 10
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations and guidelines
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
