Job summary

Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors, LLC in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro region is seeking CDL Drivers (A or B). This role offers $35.00-$45.00 per hour with local travel to project sites and a focus on safety and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, securing cargo, inspecting loads, maintaining logs, following delivery instructions, and supporting yard and vehicle maintenance. A clean driving record and DOT compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of equipment delivery experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Current and valid CDL A or B license.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; DOT compliance.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assists with maintaining warehouse conditions to a high standard of safety, organization, and cleanliness inside and outside facility.
• Checks documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Inspects loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Maintains logs and other documentation, as required.
• Follows delivery instructions accordingly.
• Checks condition of trailers and equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
• Secures cargo for transport, using provided and required equipment.
• Follows appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs.
• Loads and unloads trucks utilizing a forklift or other equipment.
• Repairs and maintains tools and equipment.
• Prepares orders for delivery.
• Drives trucks, and delivers orders to construction sites.
• Performs basic computer functions.
• Assists with the maintenance of the vehicle yard.
