Job summary

Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors, LLC is seeking a CDL Driver (A or B) for the Northern Virginia/DC Metro region. Primary duties include delivering equipment to construction sites, ensuring cargo is secure, and maintaining logs and safety standards.

Requirements: 2 years of equipment delivery experience, valid CDL A or B, basic Microsoft 365 skills, and a clean driving record with DOT compliance. Pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with local travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Two years of equipment delivery experience.
• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Current and valid CDL A or B License.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record and must comply with DOT and other applicable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains warehouse conditions to high safety, organization, and cleanliness.
• Checks documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Inspects loads to ensure cargo is secure.
• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Maintains logs and other documentation as required.
• Follows delivery instructions.
• Checks condition of trailers and equipment; reports issues.
• Secures cargo for transport using provided equipment.
• Follows safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs.
• Loads and unloads trucks using a forklift or other equipment.
• Repairs and maintains tools and equipment.
• Prepares orders for delivery.
• Drives trucks and delivers orders to construction sites.
• Performs basic computer functions.
• Assists with vehicle yard maintenance.

What You Will Do:

As a CDL Driver (A or B), your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Assists with maintaining warehouse conditions to a high standard of safety, organization, and cleanliness inside and outside facility.
• Checks documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Inspects loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Maintains logs and other documentation, as required.
• Follows delivery instructions accordingly.
• Checks condition of trailers and equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
• Secures cargo for transport, using provided and required equipment.
• Follows appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs.
• Loads and unloads trucks utilizing a forklift or other equipment.
• Repairs and maintains tools and equipment.
• Prepares orders for delivery.
• Drives trucks, and delivers orders to construction sites.
• Performs basic computer functions.
• Assists with the maintenance of the vehicle yard.

What You Will Bring to the Team

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

• Two (2) years of applicable experience delivering equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Current and valid CDL A or B License
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record and must comply with DOT and other applicable requirements.
• -or- Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Travel : Travel to project sites to make deliveries is required. The majority of travel is confined to the local area, with occasional travel to other locations outside of the local area.
