Job summary

Sapp Bros., Inc. is seeking a Local CDL Truck Driver for the West Point area. The driver will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering packaged lubricants, drums, and other merchandise to truck stops or customer locations, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You’ll be home every night and eligible for benefits and a $3,000 hiring bonus. The role includes a monthly safety bonus program, a driver referral program, PTO from Day 1, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B; Class A preferred.
• Hazmat, Airbrakes, and Tanker endorsements are strongly preferred and must be obtained upon employment.
• Possess a current DOT health card.
• Excellent driving and safety record required.
• Pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screening; background checks including MVR and DOT.
• Previous oil/fuel transportation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver oil orders to truck stops or customer sites.
• Deliver refined fuels and propane.
• Manage oil warehouse operations.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of truck and trailer.
• Carry out warehouse duties as needed.
• Complete pre-shift safety and inspection forms.

Requirements

As Driver, you will be responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of packaged lubricants, drums, and other merchandise to our truck stops or directly to a customer's place of business.

Job Responsibilities

• Delivering oil orders
• Delivering refined fuels and propane
• Managing oil warehouse
• Conducting pre-trip inspection of truck and trailer
• Performing warehouse duties
• Completing pre-shift safety and inspection form
• Fueling Truck Cleaning cab of truck
• Sticking tanks prior to, and after, delivery of fuel
• Remaining outside by the hoses while making delivery
• Completing daily log
• Turning in all relevant paperwork

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B required, Class A strongly preferred
• Hazmat, Airbrakes, and Tanker endorsement strongly preferred and would need to be obtained upon employment.
• Possess a current DOT health card
• An excellent driving and safety record
• Pass Criminal Background Check; including: Motor Vehicle Records, D.O.T., and Employment reference verification
• Must have a negative result on all drug & alcohol screening tests, pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident and random
• Previous experience in Oil and/or Fuel Transportation, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Able to remain alert while driving for periods of time, up to, 11 hours
• Able to squat, crouch, and reach, as needed, to handle, secure and deliver our products
• Able to enter and exit the vehicle's cab numerous times each day
• Able to push freight weighing up to 1,000 lbs. on a dolly or cart and able to move product up to 80 lbs. with or without mechanical aid
• Able to handle any special equipment required in the delivery of our products
