Job summary

Viking Electric in Madison, Wisconsin is hiring a Delivery Driver Class B CDL. This full-time role delivers essential electrical products from our warehouse to customers, starting with a pre-trip inspection and loading materials for local routes.

You will communicate with customers, unload at destinations, and follow safety procedures while representing Viking Electric—part of Sonepar. A valid Class B CDL, ability to lift up to 85 pounds, and DOT medical clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license - Class B CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds.
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers).
• Basic English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (training provided).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver local electrical products from the warehouse to customers.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and loading.
• Contact customers on arrival and assist with unloading.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
• Operate equipment as needed and follow safety procedures.
