Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is hiring a CDL Delivery Driver in Milwaukee, WI. The role centers on delivering essential electrical products from the warehouse to customers on a local route, with a 4:00am start, four-day schedule, and home every night.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, load materials, contact customers on arrival, and assist with unloading while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and minimum age 21.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and climb into delivery vehicles.
• DOT medical card/physical required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
• Transport and deliver products to customers with care
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers
• Fill orders and issues materials and supplies per requests
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks or dollies
• Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other warehouse duties as assigned

Skills

Valid driver's license

Be at least 21 years old

Ability to climb into and drive

Basic math skills
