Job summary

MCG Tran in Southern California is seeking a driver to access and pull containers from the LA/Long Beach ports and rails, delivering products to customers across Southern CA. The role centers on port work, with drops/hooks and live loads/unloads at receivers, and occasional pallet jack offloads.

Position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a 5pm start, home daily and weekends off. Hazmat certification is required within 60 days of hire; TWIC is mandatory.

Job description

• Driver will access and pull containers out of the LA/Long Beach ports and rails and deliver product to customers in Southern CA
  • Port work will be the main focus for the driver and they must be willing to run in and out of the ports on a daily basis.
  • Container sizes are 53',45',40',and 20'
• At the receiver, freight is a combination of drop/hook and live unload
• Majority of LTL/Intermodal deliveries are drop/hook and live load/unload, but occasional loads will require driver to offload with a pallet jack
