Job summary

Southeastern Food Merchandisers is seeking a Route Driver to safely deliver customer orders on local routes, maintain DOT compliance, and return to the same terminal daily. You will handle scanning, unloading, and delivery to multiple locations with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, clean MVR, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Night shifts, weekend work, and overtime may be required as part of a regular schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT rules.
• Deliver customer orders on assigned routes with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors/trailers.
• Scan products according to procedures and unload to customer storage areas.
• Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and liftgates as required for deliveries.
• Maintain driver logs and delivery documentation accurately.
• Provide professional customer service and address delivery concerns.
• Report accidents, issues, or hazards to supervision promptly.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and operational procedures; work nights, weekends, overtime as needed.
