Job summary

CEMEX in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a safe, experienced tractor-trailer driver to load, transport, and deliver product across company facilities and routes. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow DOT regulations, and maintain professional appearance and customer relations.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A, at least 1 year of CDL driving experience, and compliance with CSA and safety requirements; strong English communication and basic math skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A).
• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience as a CDL Driver.
• MVR - No DUI's or DWI's in the last 5 years.
• Acceptable CSA score - no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads.
• Check loads to ensure product is hauled in an appropriate and safe manner.
• Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site.
• Strive to meet customer expectations and achieve high customer satisfaction survey results.
• Develop extensive working relationships with customers to maximize opportunities for CEMEX and to ensure customer needs are addressed.
• Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies.
• Maintain personal appearance in neat and clean manner.
• Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
• Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management.
• Adhere to all CEMEX, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations.
