Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Rutland, VT is hiring a Local Delivery Driver to safely transport compressed gas cylinders and hard goods. You will operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle, manage loading/unloading, collect signatures, and maintain documentation with a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement.
• At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving in the last 5 years.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs, occasionally 76+ lbs.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Drug-free workplace and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods on designated routes.
• Collect empty cylinders from customers and address inquiries to ensure satisfaction.
• Record all transactions with signatures and maintain driver logs and documentation.
• Load and unload materials and ensure proper handling of hazardous goods.
• Perform thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle condition.
