Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Greenwood, IN is hiring a Class A CDL Yard Truck Driver to safely maneuver yard tractors and 53' trailers. This local, home-daily role runs Monday–Friday with a 2:30 PM dispatch and a 40-hour workweek.

Pay starts at $27.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift pay, with weekly payroll of $1,120 or more. Benefits begin after 30 days, including medical/dental/vision, PTO, boot allowance, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass Ryder drug test.
• Pass Ryder background and MVR incl. drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass Ryder road test.
• Provide Class A CDL and endorsements for the position.
• 9 months experience within past 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and nearby roads.
• Comply with safety and DOT regulations and ongoing training.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Maintain safety standards and support customer service.
• Assist during transitions and ensure vehicle readiness.
