Job summary

Lazer Logistics, Inc. in Tennessee is seeking a Local Yard Driver who stays in one location, moving trailers safely within the yard. You’ll avoid long road trips and customer deliveries, focusing on a predictable, stay-in-one-site schedule.

You’ll be paid hourly at $23 starting, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and an Employee Ownership Program. Home daily with no touch freight.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A.
• Experience as a Class A CDL driver with a clean MVR.
• Knowledge of DOT Physical and Medical Card regulations.
• Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to enter and exit the cab repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with CDL regulations and Lazer's guidelines.
• Transport trailers to and from designated locations in a timely and safe manner.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
• Maintain logs of driving hours, routes, and incidents.
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, team members and third-party vendors at the designated work location.
