Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL A Truck Driver / Yard Jockey in Morton, IL to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for exercising safe and efficient practices when operating equipment adhering to all federal and state driving regulations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely moves and service to our customers and team. At Lazer, we are driven to achieve!

Compensation and Schedule

• $23.00 Per Hour PLUS $1-$2 shift differential
• Overtime after 40 Hours
• Part Time: Saturday and Sunday 6am-6pm
• Weekly Pay
• Earn up to $2,000 for every referral hired & retained

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with all CDL regulations and Lazer guidelines.
• Transport trailers to and from designated locations safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety.
• Adhere to all safety policies, federal, state, and industry regulations.
• Handle equipment and products properly, ensuring quality service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, team members, and third-party vendors. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and incidents.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A.
• Proven experience as a CDL A driver with a satisfactory MVR.
• Current DOT Physical and Medical Card.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and industry driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to handle long hours and various weather conditions.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to get in and out of the truck multiple times per shift.
