Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Minimum age 21.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check including motor vehicle records (MVR).
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• 9 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years, or 5 years in the past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs; assist with loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards and ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.
• Other tasks as assigned.
