Job summary

International Paper is seeking a dedicated CDL Class A driver for our West Sacramento location. You will operate 48/53 ft equipment on customer routes, perform pre/post trip inspections and maintain accurate trip and vehicle reports.

Daily safety meetings and strong customer service are emphasized. Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, 1 year of verifiable driving, ability to read and write English, and a clean MVR with a current DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must read, speak and write English well enough to interact with the public and complete reports.
• Clean MVR on record.
• Current DOT Medical card.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Team-oriented and reliable with flexibility for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned vehicle along a designated route, collecting recyclable materials in compliance with laws and DOT regulations.
• Complete daily pre/post trip inspections and report safety concerns.
• Attend daily safety toolbox meetings.
• Interact with customers and dispatcher to ensure timely, professional service.
• Communicate route changes to dispatcher and adapt as needed.
• Ensure all pickup, delivery and vehicle reports are completed accurately and promptly.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and assist with housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
