Job summary

GardenCore Local CDL A Truck Driver will operate flatbed and live floor tractor trailers, handling multiple daily runs with high activity seasons. You will strap, weigh, tarp pallets, and follow DOT-safety rules, ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include loading supervision, maintaining logs and documentation, building customer relationships, and performing vehicle inspections. CDL A with 2+ years' experience required; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required.
• Minimum 2 years operating a CDL A vehicle; flatbed experience is a plus.
• Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow dispatcher instructions and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain DOT daily logs, fuel receipts, and delivery docs.

• Obtain shipping bills and signatures for shipping dept.
• Survey job site and unload cargo safely.
• Develop knowledge of inventory, sizes, colors, and pallet packaging.
• Monitor product quality and report problems.

Description

GardenCore Local CDL A Truck Driver will be responsible for flatbed and live floor tractor trailer operation, making multiple daily runs. High activity season will require availability to maximum hours allowable under DOT & safety compliance. Drivers are required to strap, weigh station & tarp palletized loads. Fast-paced operation.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction material to job site in a safe and timely manner
• Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution
• Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detail
• Maintain complete and accurate records such as DOT drivers’ daily logs, fuel receipts, delivery documentation and any other required documents according to state and federal regulations
• Build and maintain good customer relationships
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report immediately any concerns or problems
• Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to the shipping department
• Provide and document proper routine maintenance of assigned truck and loading/unloading equipmentSurvey job site and unload cargo in the best area available in a safe manner
• Develop very good knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors, and pallet package
• Monitor and immediately report problems with assigned product quality, customer satisfaction, and traffic

Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent
• Experience with Moffett
• CDL A required
• Must have at least 2 years of experience operating a CDL A vehicle - flatbed is a plus
• Detail oriented and good communication skills a plus
• Must be at least 24 years of age
• Must have a clean driving record
• Forklift certified a plus
• Bi-lingual is a plus
