Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, also known as a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator, is to deliver building materials to customers' businesses or job sites. Drivers operate within a maximum of 200 miles from their home branch, with deliveries originating and ending at the branch (no overnight stays).

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm loaded inventory, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and verify addresses
• Conduct job site inspections, documenting existing damages and potential hazards such as power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.
• Capture pictures of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett preferred
• Safe driving record with no hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions in the last three years; recent accidents or violations will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus
• Experience in distribution is advantageous
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S., passing an E-Verify check
