Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, also known as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses
• Inspect job sites and document existing damages and hazards
• Capture photos of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load/unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; violations will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations preferred
• Distribution experience is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass E-Verify

All CDL drivers must register with FMCSA as of January 6, 2020. Our background check will verify registration before proceeding with employment.
