Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers' businesses or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm loaded inventory, compare with purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses and routing information
• Inspect job sites and document any existing damages or hazards such as power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, and fences
• Capture photos of all delivered building products following company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett equipment a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; severe violations or multiple accidents in the past year will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test, hold a current DOT medical certificate, and have no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
