Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay Inc in Grand Rapids is seeking a Local Truck Driver (Switcher) on the night shift to move products between facilities and to outside vendors. The role requires CDL-A, three years of city truck experience, and solid shipping/receiving skills.

Qualifications include the ability to pass a road test, DOT physical, and a line of items such as computer literacy and a strong driving record. Shift differential and overtime potential are offered along with a competitive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL-A license required.
• 3 years city truck driving experience.
• 3 months shipping/receiving clerk experience.
• Ability to pass P&C road test.
• HILO license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Transport product to Distribution Center, between buildings, or to outside vendors.
• Examine, pack, weigh, label, and check material against bills of lading or forms.
• Load and unload trucks and verify paperwork with loads.
• Route incoming product to proper department.
• Verify move tags and shipping paperwork accuracy.
